NICHOLAS FORTUNA, MANAGING PARTNER
Nicholas Fortuna, a founding partner of the firm, was born in Queens,
New York. Mr. Fortuna earned his B.A. from Queens College (1983) and
graduated cum laude
from the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center (J.D., 1986). At
Touro, he received the Faculty’s Distinguished Scholar Award and a
Touro Law School Fellowship. Mr. Fortuna is a seasoned litigator, whose
experience includes extensive commercial litigation for national retail
chains.
ANDREA PLATNER HELLMAN, PARTNER
Andrea Platner Hellman was born in Brooklyn, New York. Ms. Hellman was
awarded a B.A. from the University of Michigan (1992). She earned her
J.D. cum laude
from Boston University School of Law (1995), where she was named a Paul
J. Liacos Scholar and an Edward F. Hennessey Distinguished Scholar. She
was also a member of the American Journal of Law and Medicine. Ms.
Hellman joined the firm in 1996 and became a partner in 2005. She
concentrates in administrative and regulatory law, commercial
litigation, and intellectual property.
PAULA LOPEZ, ASSOCIATE
Paula Lopez was born in Quito, Ecuador. She graduated with a B.A. from
Rutgers University (2000). In 2003, Ms. Lopez earned her J.D. from
Tulane Law School. She was the Managing Editor of the Tulane Law
Journal of American Arbitration in 2002-2003. Her main practice areas
include administrative and regulatory law and commercial litigation.
MEGAN MUOIO, ASSOCIATE
Megan Muoio was born in Marlton, New Jersey. Ms. Muoio was awarded her B.A., magna cum laude,
from Gettysburg College (2001) and was admitted to Phi Beta Kappa. She
earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law (2004). She
concentrates in commercial litigation, including construction, real
estate and intellectual property issues.
ADAM DREXLER, ASSOCIATE
Adam Drexler was born on Long Island, New York. Mr. Drexler was awarded
his B.S. from Cornell University (2000). He earned his J.D. from
Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (2003). He concentrates primarily on
commercial litigation.
DIANA UHIMOV, ASSOCIATE
Diana Uhimov was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ms.
Uhimov earned her B.A., cum laude, from New York University
(2003). She received her J.D. from Fordham University School of
Law (2010) where she was a member of the Fordham International Law
Journal and a recipient of the Leitner International Law and Justice
Fellowship. Her main practice area is commercial litigation.
JAMES ALLYN, OF COUNSEL
James Allyn, was born in New Haven, Connecticut. Mr. Allyn earned his B.A. from Amherst College (1984) and graduated cum laude from New York University School of Law (J.D., 1989, Order of the Coif).
