Diana Uhimov has been an associate with Allyn & Fortuna LLP since 2011. Ms. Uhimov concentrates her practice in the areas of employment law, commercial litigation and administrative and regulatory law.
Ms. Uhimov has experience litigating on behalf of a diverse range of clients from major corporations to small New York businesses. She focuses her litigation practice in the areas of employment law, contract disputes, corporate and insurance litigation, the arbitrability of disputes and construction litigation.
Ms. Uhimov has successfully defended and negotiated on behalf of a wide range of clients, including national drug store chains, national restaurant chains, national home improvement chains, and privately held businesses, in a variety of compliance matters, including land use regulation, state and local environmental, health, fire safety and consumer protection. She represents these clients in criminal and administrative proceedings, and helps facilitate clients’ business objectives by advising them with respect to matters before the Board of Standards and Appeals, and local Zoning Boards.
Diana Uhimov was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She earned her B.A., cum laude, from New York University in 2003, where she majored in Economics and minored in Spanish. Ms. Uhimov received her Juris Doctor in 2010 from Fordham University School of Law, where she served as a staff member on the International Law Journal. During law school, Ms. Uhimov was awarded the Leitner International Law and Justice Fellowship, and participated in the Student Hurricane Network, with which she traveled to New Orleans over her winter break to volunteer in the Orleans Public Defenders Office.
Ms. Uhimov is a member of the New York State Bar Association and is a contributing writer to the firm’s blog on employment and emerging legal issues.
